MGN Security is seeking a disciplined, vigilant, and professional Reaction Officer to join our Armed Response team. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to alarm activations, emergency incidents, and security threats while ensuring the protection of clients, properties, and company assets. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent judgment under pressure, outstanding communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to alarm activations, panic signals, and emergency incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols and security inspections of client premises.
• Protect clients, personnel, property, and company assets.
• Investigate security incidents and compile accurate incident reports.
• Assist the South African Police Service (SAPS), emergency responders, and other authorities when required.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Control Room during all operational activities.
• Operate response vehicles safely and professionally.
• Carry and handle company-issued firearms in accordance with legal and company requirements.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and PSIRA regulations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
• Identify and report security risks, suspicious activities, and safety hazards.
• Ensure all assigned equipment and company vehicles remain clean, operational, and properly maintained.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• PSIRA Registration – Minimum Grade C (Grade B will be advantageous).
• Valid South African Driver’s License.
• Competency Certificate for Business Purpose Firearm.
• Firearm proficiency certification.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Armed Response, Reaction Services, or Security Operations.
• Experience working in a Control Room environment will be advantageous.
